Poste proposé : Power Systems Design Expert

Missions :

  • A power systems design expert specializes in working with power systems, with job duties ranging from conducting power system components studies to design power system solutions. Power systems design experts can work for Telecom segment applications as well as other industrial & commercial segments of applications. Perform site-specific engineering analysis or evaluation of energy efficiency and solar or wind turbine projects involving residential, commercial, or industrial customers. Design hybrid solution using suitable power system, energy storage components for new and existing structures, applying knowledge of structural energy requirements, local climates, solar/wind technology, and thermodynamics. Individual should have good understanding of product manufacturing & quality management systems also.
  • Perform site-specific engineering analysis or evaluation of energy efficiency of rectifier power system, solar, wind turbine, batteries, ESS for residential, commercial, or industrial customers/applications. Design hybrid solution using suitable power system, energy storage components for new and existing structures, applying knowledge of structural energy requirements, local climates, solar/wind technology, and thermodynamics.
  • Conduct engineering site audits to collect structural, electrical, and related site information for use in the design of residential or commercial solar power systems.
  • Design Hybrid & alternative energy systems for Telecom, residential and commercial buildings.
  • Design or coordinate design of photovoltaic (PV) or solar thermal systems, including system components, for Telecom, residential and commercial buildings.
  • Create electrical single-line diagrams, panel schedules, or connection diagrams for hybrid/solar electric systems, using computer-aided design (CAD) software.
  • Develop design specifications and functional requirements for telecom, residential, commercial, or industrial solar hybrid/energy systems or components.
  • Provide technical direction or support to installation teams during installation, start-up, testing, system commissioning, or performance monitoring.
  • Perform computer simulation of solar photovoltaic (PV) generation system performance or energy production to optimize efficiency.
  • Providing documentation, detailed instructions, drawings, or specifications to tell others about how devices, parts, equipment, or structures are to be fabricated, constructed, assembled, modified, maintained, or used.
  • Communicating with people inside & outside the organization, representing the organization to customers, the public, government, and other external sources.
  • Providing guidance and expert advice & technical support to management and group/subsidiary technical experts.
  • Encouraging and building mutual trust, respect, and cooperation among team members.
  • Identifying the educational needs of technical resources, developing formal educational or training programs or classes, and teaching or instructing them.
  • Monitoring and controlling subsidiary power system technical resources.
  • Getting support from CFT members of group to work together to accomplish tasks.
  • Validation, review & approval of the solution equipment offered by suppliers/product partners
  • Preparation of Solution BOQs & equipment specifications
  • Support SCM team in finding suitable product partners by providing all technical requirements
  • Maintain knowledge of technology in use, and/or under development for its impact or potential impact on the operational business process.
  • Carry out duties and responsibilities in accordance with ISO requirements, NETIS’ policies and applicable laws.
  • Ensure the development of SHERQ practices for NETIS and oversee compliance with those practices
  • Facilitate, maintain, and manage all required activities related to updating and publishing relevant policies and procedures for NETIS on the Group and Subsidiaries levels.
Profil recherché pour le poste : Power Systems Design Expert
  • Bachelor or master’s degree in electrical/electronic engineering or a related field.
  • A background in power systems operations or planning may be beneficial.
  • Interests in non-traditional powering methods and experimentation.
  • Knowledge of International Power and Electricity Installation Standards.
  • Practiced Knowledge in low-voltage AC power, DC battery power plants, Telecom grounding practices, and conductor sizing and protection
  • Track-record of promoting public and personnel electrical safety.
  • Minimum six (6) years of telecommunications experience or equivalent work experience required
  • Extensive experience in telecommunications power systems design
  • Excellent technical abilities (power system analysis software, electrical design and network architectures, load flow analysis and system integration…etc.)
  • Excellent leadership skills
  • Proven people and project management skills
  • Good interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Fluent in English and French
