TechCell-Pilots is a subunit of TechCell that manage the UM6P pilot plants platform. TechCell-Pilots performs frequent piloting of novel/advanced process operations, driving technology development and innovation, as well as executing Operations tests. The ultimate purpose is to produce sound, relevant data for processes developments at meaningful scales that enable the rapid, successful transfer of technologies to industry especially for the TechCell Pilot plants management team will focus primarily on improving the production performance of OCP and will also support innovation across OCP’s entire technological spectrum and other mineral industries. The work environment is challenging and technologically disruptive, fast paced and ever changing but very rewarding for those that like hands on science at the interface between Academia and industry.
Responsibilities:
Technology maturation/development consultant is an external analyst who evaluate/advice on R&D/Engineering/Technology transfer and Technology Maturation projects and help to achieve TechCell’s business objectives. His/her primary duties include analyzing and diagnosing TechCell’s Pilot infrastructure, understanding a client's business needs, and designing and implementing a technology solution etc…:
- Analyzing Techcell Pilot management system
- Diagnosing problems, inefficiencies, and weaknesses in the process of technology maturation at the University
- Help in planning a timeline for completion of Engineering and technology maturation projects.
- Understanding a client's business needs.
- Implementing a technological solution to meet business needs.
- Providing advice on technology best practices.
- Collaborating with the technical OCP teams to ensure familiarity with technology.
- Training TechCell Staff
- Producing detailed reports on the efficacy of the technology.

Profil recherché :
Qualifications
- PhD, degree in engineering, life sciences, chemistry
- At least 20 years of Manufacturing ,Process Development or Operations experience and R&D.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and mediation skills, including executive level communications both in French and English
